Editorial Policy

How FixLume handles originality, sourcing, examples, safety boundaries, updates and commercial independence.

Originality first

FixLume publishes original explanatory writing. We do not copy articles, product descriptions, reviews or customer comments from other websites and present them as our own. External sources are used to verify facts or point readers toward primary guidance, not as text to rewrite sentence by sentence.

Useful value over article count

We would rather publish one project playbook with a worked example, decision table and checklist than several short pages that repeat the same general advice. Pages are organized around a real homeowner decision: how to measure, how to distinguish causes, how to choose between compatible options, or how to plan a job.

Research and sources

For product-specific installation or use requirements, the exact manufacturer documentation is the preferred source. For safety-sensitive issues, official government, standards or recognized specialist sources are preferred where applicable. General guides remain subordinate to local law, building requirements and the instructions for the actual product.

No invented experience

We do not claim ownership, testing, professional certification or first-hand experience that did not occur. Research-based content is labeled through our site methodology and written in a way that makes examples clearly illustrative.

Advertising and commercial independence

FixLume may use advertising after approval by an advertising provider. Ads do not determine editorial conclusions. If we later add affiliate or sponsored relationships, they should be clearly disclosed and should not replace independent publisher content.
